Aioli Dinner-Transfer on Board Signed & Numbered 39/100Total Edition 100 48" x 38"This reproduction on board and framing were done byGeorge RodrigueNotice: Only 100 transfers were made
This photographic transfer on board was placed in this very same frame by George Rodrigue in 1989 and has been in the possession of the current owner since that time. The current owners had built a studio and gallery for George Rodrigue to continue developing his Blue Dog. While there, he traded this framed transfer on board for two antique glass front very tall cabinets which he wanted to use to display his vintage camera collection. It has remained in the same frame since Rodrigue placed it there. This piece is hand signed by George Rodrigue in the lower left hand corner with the edition number of #39/100. The bold Rodrigue signature in red is part of the photographic process from the original. The Aioli Dinner is considered by many to be one of the top three traditional paintings by Rodrigue. The other two are Jolie Blonde and also Escort for the Kingfish original oil on canvas.
